All of the following green elements are standard in every Sienna Home:

• 95% of our lumber and sheet goods consist of engineered wood products that are
  better for the planet
• Environmentally friendly finger jointed studs for all wall panels
• We build all cabinetry walls with laminated strand lumber for a better fit that lasts
• Best-in-class ENERGY STAR certified windows and doors
• 40-year architectural fiberglass shingles that actually last 40 years
• Our standard siding is fibre-cement board - friendlier, stronger, longer lasting - and greener than vinyl
• We supply only large engineered floor joists for nominal waste & top performance in
  your floor system
• The glues and adhesives we provide are all environmentally friendly
• We provide green insulation materials such as Roxul flexi-batt mineral fibre batts
• All our materials are pre-planned and pre-cut to marginalize waste, which is typically
  below 1%
• We re-use all our waste cuts for joist blocking, squash blocks, and nailers
• High-quality insulated garage doors
• Eco Choice Program approved insulation materials
• We reuse and recycle right at the factory
• Our construction methods yield less environmental waste and noise pollution

Additional Green Options

You can choose add a variety of options to your materials package to make it even greener - such as steel roofs, ENERGY STAR membrane roofing, recycled plastic decking, virtual stone, brick and stucco, engineered styrofoam e-log siding, Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) foundations, In-Place perimeter forming and drainage - to name just a few.
